My little football player

Conner decided this past year that he just wasn't sure soccer was for him so this year, he is trying flag football.  He is having so much fun and having some little successes at football (not so much at soccer).

We are excited for him as he does live in the shadow of a big brother who things like school work and sports come a little easier to.

Here are some pictures of his fun!!!

The boys and girls are just SOOO cute at this first grade/second grade level.  Here is my cutie. :)

Conner has the greatest coach. He is junior high teacher and dad. He is so encouraging, so patient, and works so hard to teach them.  He treats them like a real football team and the boys just love that.  After today's game, he ran all the way across the field becuase he missed getting to tell Conner how proud he was of him!!!!

Last week, Conner ran for a touchdown. He was so proud of himself! He got some yards today too. The coach is really good about getting everyone a chance!

Here was his shot at quarterback! Conner got some flags today too which was cool.  Kyle is like a flag pulling machine so I think Conner has caught on to that one!!! :) The first time he got a flag in a game, though, was the cutest thing ever. He pauses for a second, looks at the flag in his hand, throws his arm up in the air and yells, "I GOT A FLAG."  Honestly, I think he was shocked that he actually got one.  His coach was yelling WAY TO GO CONNER from the sidelines.

Anyway, Conner is breaking out of his shell, trying something new, actually participating, and having some fun.  Im awful proud of him and happy for him!
