Exhausted

We are supposed to be on vacation this week. In hindsight having vacation moved back a week is actually a good thing. I have absolutely no idea how I'd have been ready a week ago to go. Of course, I am not entirely sure how I will be ready to go this Friday.

It takes a bit more work to motorhome a vacation in that I have to figure out food and what not for the week in addition to clothes and traveling entertainment! Of course, I don't want to spend hours cooking on vacation so I usually try to cook everything I can ahead of time.  In addition, I have this crazy notion that my house must be clean before I leave. Plus I have to get work all ready to go. Oh and Conner's birthday is the week we get back so I need to get invitations for his party out this week as well. Plus we are finishing up a project for a friend at their house and Jim's schedule is CRAZY!  Oh and did I mention we have a two year old???? (not really complaining. I am BLESSED. Just acknowledging that there is a lot going on..all good stuff).

Yesterday Jim wasn't feeling well so Conner and I got some stuff ready for his party and I thoguht through what I would have to do each day to be totally ready to leave at noon on Friday.  It is a lot, but really it is doable (or so I thought!).

So this morning, I started with mowing the grass.  That was awesome since I could cross that off my list, but I think I must have gotten a little overheated. Three hours later despite lots of beverages to replenish myself, I feel just totally wiped out.  So my progress on todays list isn't going as well.  I had planned to get the house cleaned, the yard mowed, and the laundry current today so that Wednesday after Jim finished up a project in the morning. We could go to town cooking and packing.  Then I planned a fun couple of hours at the pool!  I hate to waste such perfect pool temperature cleaning!

I am on to plan B. I am going to lay Callie down for a nap and then I am going to take a short nap.  Hoping to wake up refreshed and then plow thorugh laundry and cleaning (really I could go on vacation with a dirty house, not sure why I put this pressure on myself).  I am still hoping for the pool, but thinking maybe after supper OR we will go a couple of hours this afternoon later and I will clean tonight!!!  Plus I will probably settle for the boys dusting and vacuuming and just cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms myself.

I know..why in the world am I blogging when I have stuff to do? Callie is eating lunch and I am just killing time while I wait to go to sleep too!
