Happy EARLY birthday to my almost 7 year old!

So today is VACATION day at the Trunnell house.  After noon, Jim doesn't have to work for the 9 days. He has been super busy so this will be nice for him. Plus it will be great to have family time.

Anyway, Conner's birthday is not until the 19th of this month, but Jim's parents will be gone for his actual birthday.  So as we chatted, Jim's mom decided to throw a little mini surprise party for Conner before we went on vacation.  So last night, we headed out for supper.  Grandma got Panda Express (Conner's loves their shrimp dish!) and we ate in the dining room!

Here is Conner with one of his favorite suppers. He was so cute about it when he finally figured out what was going on. A more mellow response than I expected, but very cute none the less.
Grandma picked up some scratch cupcakes to put the candles in!
Then the very best part of the party. Grandma gave Conner a DS.  Since Kyle was 9 when he got his, Conner firmly believed he could not have a DS until he was nine so he had NO IDEA!  He was so excited. He kept making this little woody woodpecker giggle!

He got a white one so it wouldn't be confused with Kyle's black one.  He just couldn't believe he really got one.  Grandma made his little day.  It will be so nice in the motorhome that Conner won't have to sit and watch Kyle play, he can play too! Plus they can play some games together now on vacation!

Conner didn't get any games or a case (that comes later on his actual birthday, but we prepped Kyle to share his so he was great about immediately saying to Conner, you can play any of my games on your ds!).

This is Conner's big gift, but I don't think his actual birthday will be a disappointment because he is having a friend party this year to look forward to!
