Keep us hopping!

Well, today had a few unexpected surprises in it. First, Kyle went abck to bed about 9 am this morning. When I went in Conner looks at me and says, He says he doesn't feel well. Did Conner come get me?? No, he just kept doing his thing. Poor Kyle.

Kyle definitely did NOT feel well. He was running a pretty good fever. He has been battling a 103 to 104 fever all day. Motrin and tylenol keep it down in the 101 range. He is coughing a little bit and has a headache. Luckily there is no vomit. I am praying this doesn't spread, but it is hard work keeping little miss Callie away from her Kyle!

Hopefully, it will pass quickly and everyone will be healthy by this weekend. Wouldn't that be awful to run a fever while in Vegas? Plus I don't want the kids to be sick while we gone.

Then today, I noticed that when I drank cold liquids one of teeth was really sensitive. It just started happening all of a sudden. So I called my father in law to see if he'd take a look. Well, come to find out, I chipped a tooth. Last week, I was flossing and the floss got stuck. When I pulled it out, I felt like something had broke, but there were no extra pieces and all seemed fine. Apparently the broken part of tooth was wedged up in there and must have protected the nerve enough that I didn't realize it was broken.

My father in law drilled out the broken chip and gave me a temporary filling to allow us to go Vegas happily and to calm down the nerve before we do another permanent filling. It already feels better. It will be interesting, though, remembering for 5 to 6 weeks to only chew on one side of my mouth.

We are in good spirits, just an interesting day. Kyle and I will have our own private super bowl party while Jim, Conner and Callie attend the super bowl party we were going to tomorrow. Callie could stay home, but she is such a little entertainer that I know everyone will want her to come.

It is always an adventure!
