A Family Adventure!

Jim and I are both exhausted after a long day. Here is a short recap. It was a neat experience to do the ultrasound again. They showed it projected onto a large screen so that was cool. Even though we didn't pay for it, they did let us get a couple of glimpses of our baby in 3D. To our immense delight the baby had flipped over making it very easy to see what the gender was. However, we could not see the baby's face head on. We were able to catch a profile, but couldn't get a 3D picture of the face (or any picture really). We were totally o.k. with that though.

Here you can see the baby's body in 3D. The head is hidden behind the placenta which is why you can't see the whole baby. YOu are kind of looking from the neck down. Now for the news you were waiting for....

Yes it is a girl. The techician said that she was not telling us it was a girl based upon the absence of boys parts, but extremely obvious girl parts. She said that she was 110% sure it was a little girl and we could buy all of the pink we wanted and just in case we were in doubt....

Here it is again from a different perspective and well in case there was still doubt...

Here it is again! Oh and just for the heck of it...

One more picture! The technician wanted to make sure we got what we wanted (just to know that is) now didn't she?

Now off to bed and figure out a plan for tomorrow. Kyle is still sick. We thought he was fine today only to find him running a temperature again tonight! Both Jim and I were supposed to work, but I think we will have to split the day and both work a half day. We will just have to make the best of it.

Tomorrow I will post some pictures of our purchases afterwards and all the reactions etc. Just too tired tonight!
