Great Bedroom Upset!

While Conner and Kyle loved sharing a room, it became apparent in the past few months, that it was time for them to have their own space.  They both needed a place they could call their own and away from their brother.  So even though our kitchen is 100% done, we began the great bedroom exchange!  In the end, it is moving four bedrooms around and a lot of work, but worth it.

First up is Kyle!!!! Here is what used to be the guestroom...

Kyle has a real love of history, geography and sort of vintage sort of things. He has been collecting stuff for awhile in this vain... So we surprised him with the offer to buy him a wall mural and bedding for his new room. He picked a vintage looking world map (of course) and some bedding that mached it.  I didn't even have to repaint the room... SCORE!!!!

Kyle is all moved in and his room is done. He is slowly adjusting. He is a little nervous downstairs at night, but in general does LOVE having his own room that is all his!  He also is lamenting that is room is smaller (and add a queen bed) so he doesn't have as much room as he would like to store his stuff. However, he understands that Callie and Conner still play with toys so since we don't have a toy room any longer that they need more room for toys and playing!

There has been a lot of change in Kyle's world with graduating to youth group at church, a new room,  and the general beginning of heading towards junior high. He will stay at the elementary school one more year yet, but in the rest of his world the change is happening. He even (poor mommy) is going to play tackle football this fall....  Someone slow down the clock... Atleast he still loves me and I get to tag along on the summer youth group trip and we get invited for sleepovers in his room! :)

Anyway, here is his new room....
