On January 3rd, Jim and I had been maried 15 years. It is so hard to believe it is that long. I feel incredibly blessed to have such a great husband. I definitely love him more after 15 years than I did when we got married (and I loved him a lot then). I couldn't ask for a better friend or person to spend time with.
Anyway, Jim is taking me to Las Vegas for a long weekend to celebrate in February! So we had no plans to exhange gifts or celebrate on the actual day. However, I happened to have this past weekend off from work and Jim thought we should go to Des Moines for an overnight, just for fun. We aren't really the spontaneous type, but on Thursday night Jim called, booked a room, and we picked the kids up from school friday and headed down to the jordan creek area.
We had gotten a couple of anniversary cards with money so we thought'd we'd go out to eat somewhere fun and "celebrate" with the kids our anniversary. We ended up choosing the Cheesecake factory! We had a great meal and the staff was so nice. Conner announced to them that it was my anniversary (not Jim's..just mine he said..Jim laughed and said thats usually how they are! HA!).
We all decided to share a piece of cheesecake for dessert. We got their new red velvet cake cheesecake! Anyway, this is how they brought it out to us.. So fun!!!

Then we stopped in at the pandora store. I don't think I blogged about this, but Jim gave me a pandora bracelet for Christmas. This wasn't something I ever thought I wanted, but he was so sweet about it that I was really touched. It is really pretty and I was so surprised. Anyway, I wanted to buy a clip bead so that when I took it off, I wouldn't accidently drop beads.
When we got in there, Jim announced that he wanted to purchase a bead or charm in honor of out 15th wedding anniversary! It was so hard to choose. Good thing they were patient! Here is how it looks now (and probably will for awhile!). Although, I know now what sort of beads I like!!

I guess for not celebrating our anniversary now because we are going on a trip in February, we sure did A LOT of celebrating, huh?
