Conner had a fun soccer season. It didn't take him too long to realize that soccer may not be his favorite thing..Too much running. He did make some new friends and have a great memory as Daddy as his soccer coach. Of all of our children, Jim finds it the hardest to connect with Conner because he is such a mama's boy. (He is still pretty connected just in comparison he has to work at it harder with Conner). So Jim signed up to coach Conner's soccer team and they had a great experience together.
I love that Jim doesn't care whether Conner is athletic or even if Conner likes the same football team. I bought Conner a jersey for Christmas (shhhhh..) that is not the broncos and it was Jim's idea!
Here are a few pictures of Conner's last game this fall. He will have six more in the spring!

I loved this action shot and how adorable he is in his soccer uniform!

I loved this shot too.

Here he is with the ball. In all honesty, you didn't see Conner with the ball much. He did score once this season by being in the right place at the right time, but usually Conner was just jogging behind the pack and by the time he made it to the ball, it was already somewhere else!

And if he did get the ball or a kick in, he might actually miss the ball...

Honestly..what is more Conner is this shot. Doesn't he look so thrilled about the game going on? He is the child that was playing sweeper (defense spot in front of the goal but not goalie) and sat down to rest while he waited for the ball. Except he sat down facing his goal so he couldn't see the ball coming.

Conner got kicked pretty hard in the leg at his last game and it was so sad. We kind of thought the way he limped off the field he was playing it up a bit, but the next day he was still rubbing and said it was sore.
Since I tend to think that this might be the only year that Conner plays recreational soccer, I am so glad he is getting to do it with Daddy!
