Poor Callie!

I mentioned in my last post that Callie had gotten sick at the river. We figured with the antibotics that she would be up in running pretty quickly.

Well, we were wrong. On Monday, Callie started to get worse. Her fever went up and she started sleeping alot. From Monday evening through Wednesday evening, she was only wake maybe a total of 4 hours. I was getting worried. I have never had except a newborn sleep over 20 hours a day. I called the doctor, but they said until she still sleeping like that on Friday, as long as she is eating and drinking, it is o.k.

Last night, she woke up for a good two hours, but then slept all night, woke up for maybe an hour and a half this morning and now has been asleep for five hours. Since she ate breakfast, I thought I would let her sleep a little longer before I wake her up. Her temperature is lower more in the 100 degree range and when I wake her up, she is responsive and lets me know what it is she wants and doesn't want. That is some progress I think, but wow that is still a lot of sleep.

She doesn't really get down and walk around though. That has to be some awful virus she got in addition to the ear infection for her to sleep like that.

I am praying none of the rest of us get it especially Jim or I. We can't afford to sleep for 4 days straight in order to get better!
