Making it up to you...

So here is post number two for today! I spend the morning reorganizing and cleaning out stuff at church so they can do more demolition tonight. Then all afternoon on paperwork. I had lots of church stuff that need to be done, verified and reorganized, salon year end books to balance, and home accounts to switch over to 2010. I just finished up what I am going to do for today.

I have completed 19 weeks as of Sunday. Here is the current stats. Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces, and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. The hair on her scalp is sprouting. This is a crucial time for sensory development: Your baby's brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch.

My next appointment is Wednesday. They will schedule our 20 week ultrasound then. I don't know how long it will take to get in for that, but we are getting pretty excited about it around here. First, it is always fun to just see the baby and make sure it is healthy. Second, we are very excited for Kyle to experience this with us. Third, it will be fun (I think!) to know what sex this little bundle is.

I have been feeling more and more movement. It is still inconsistent and usually light, but I feel something atleast everyday. Jim has been able to catch the baby moving a couple of times and Kyle was able to on Sunday feel my tummy move for the first time. It was so quick, though, so I am still waiting for movement where he can be much more amazed about it.

We got home at noon today and Conner checked 4 times before 2:00 to see if Kyle was coming yet! It was a long wait for Kyle to finally arrive!!!!

This is going to be busy week as is most of this month I think, but that is good. We will move past the halfway point in the pregnancy, be able to begin to plan for the baby, finish up a major project at church, maybe get the basement ready for carpet, and who knows what else with all this crazy weather!

Before we know it will be February and we will be thinking about decorating a room for the baby and planning for a spring break trip to Florida. In the midst of all of that, we will have some interesting times at church as our Waterloo campus begins to meet together!

Part of me wants to hurry up this pregnancy, but on the other hand at the end of May, I lose some freedom and have a lot more work to do at home. So not sure I am ready for that yet (I probably won't ever be!). It will just happen and we will adjust.

Off to make supper and do some laundry...maybe boy haircuts tonight....
