Lots of Food

When we first got to Vegas, we found all of the food choices overwhelming. I mean it was almost stressful. Then it occurs to you that there are people in the world that only eat rice or beans for supper everynight and we let too many choices stress us out. Really??
We had lots of fun experiences eating out. Just so many different foods, themed restaurants. We did a lot of sharing of meals, eating more expensive places at lunch time and what not to keep the cost down, but still had lots of fun. One day, I told Jim that I didn't think I had actually had a chance to get hungry since we arrived.
We didn't take pictures of everywhere we ate, but we did at a few places. A couple we missed were the Brio Tuscan Grille. It was off the strip. We went there after watching the The Vow (that was a good movie I thought). We shared a pasta dish and creme brulee for dessert. It was really good, had neat dining room, and wasn't nearly as expensive as some of the world renowed places on the strip.
We also shared a pizza one night at the California Pizza kitchen and shared a breakfast at Cabo Wabo! Plus there was a little market in the Vdara nex to us that had good salads and bagels.
One night we ate at jimmy buffet's margaritaville. It was themed really fun, they had great music, plus these people in stilts that walked around making baloon hats for people depending on why they were there. They had a little cheesy show where a girl in a bikini of course slid down the top of the volcano into the drink. The crowd was fun and it was a good meal.
We got a kick out of our seats. In the middle of the restaurant, they have four fishing boats. Some people sit up front (on the other side of the little wall), some people sit at a booth in the middle, and some people (us obviously) sat in the back part of the boat facing out under the fishing poles. It was fun and what was good too was, it didn't seem wierd to watch people. I think everyone expected you to be watching everyone else. Oh,they had the best drink called a bahama Breeze or something too!
Another day, we went to Pampas which was a brazilian grille. This was cool. They had this amazing salad bar with lots of unique stuff on it. YUM YUM!
Then the waitors would walk around with giant skewers with all kinds of different grilled meats. It was VERY good and fun to try so much different stuff. My favorite off the grill was actually grilled pineapply. Who knew that would be SOOOO good?
On our last night before we saw V the Variety show, we ate a Cheeseburger place. This was probably our most disappointing meal (we have better burgers at home), but the atmosphere was cool as were out on the patio (inside the Mile miracle mall) next to the fountains. Kind of like eating outside, but you are in and when I first went to take Jim's picture (below) we got a good laugh...
We didn't even notice til I took the picture, but look what was in the background? So funny. There are no strippers (but a couple of stripper poles that girls must dance at) because this is in the middle of the mall and wide open. Anyway, we got a good laugh!
One day, we ate lunch on the patio of a Mexican restaurant in the Venetian. It was fun because we were right along the canal and could here the gondiliers serenading the couples taking rides. The food here was really good too! We shared some sort of fajita platter (it had a unique name that I can't remember).
We also ate a little market in the hotel lobby behind us. They had good fresh salads, bagels, and breakfast paninis!
We definitely were NOT hungry on this trip!
