After singing at church, I had a weekend where I didn't have to be there for second service so I headed out with the family to Grandma's house for lasagna. It was nice to do that. We headed home because Jim's parents were heading to Hubbard to see a Christmas program and the other cousins were coming out to go sledding some at Grandma's house. We didn't have snow pants with us and didn't want to go home and try to go back.

We debated on going to one of the better sledding hills around town and calling the cousins, but honestly I wasn't sure that Conner would last that long. I wasn't sure I really wanted to put all of the stuff on and head out there plus Jim wanted to get some work on the basement. However, Kyle saw kids sledding on the way home and was so anxious to go....

So we compromised. There are a couple of very small hills right next to our house so we came home, suited up and headed out there. They aren't long or fast (plus you had to really work to pack the snow down), but perfect in size for Conner and close enough that I could go home (to go potty when I wanted). We still want to go to one of the bigger hills with the cousins, but will save that for a slow time in January. Since our boys were young, they seemed happy enough with the little hill.

Here are a few pictures of the fun!

Kyle and Daddy attempting to pack it down more...
Conner going down by himself on the sled that doesn't work too well!

He wipes out, but was going slow enough that he thought it was fun!

Daddy and Conner!

Kyle was so funny on this thing. It was a small hill and he managed to wipe out once even doing a flip. I tried to get a picture of him more in the action, but they were all blurry or he isn't even in the shot!

Much to Kyle's great disapproval, I took a couple of trips down the hill. He was very concerned about the baby. I am sure I would've had to be more careful on a bigger hill, but this one is so little that it wasn't a big deal!
So not exactly a huge sledding trip and not as much fun as going with the cousins would've been especially for Kyle, but a little something to appease everyone!
